CHANDIGARH: The "jhakkas" juniors of the Government College of Art find their seniors "bakwas". If a smart new entrant is to be believed, the reason for this boisterous declaration is: "They are so predictable. They have nothing new to offer while carrying out ragging rituals."

If a smart new entrant is to be believed, the reason for this boisterous declaration is: "They are so predictable. They have nothing new to offer while carrying out ragging rituals."<br /><br />After watching the so-called ''ragging'' by seniors for a few minutes, which hovered around "Apna naam batao thumka laga ke" and "har baat ke baad bolo thumka laga ke", a junior hiding behind a row of girls said, "They ragged my elder sister in a similar fashion seven years back.

Why can''t they be innovative?"<br /><br />Well, not all disliked what was going on. "Tell us your name," ordered a senior, and the junior obediently replied, "Simran Kaur".<br /><br />"Which stream have you taken?" another senior wanted to know. In fact, we are okay with it," said Tanya Dhani, whose bag was searched for ''<span style="" font-style:="" italic="">dhan</span>'' by seniors. The scene was dull at DAV College, Sector 10, where first-year students missed being welcomed the "ragging way".<br /><br />"Seniors come only when they have a class. No one even asked for our introduction. It''s pretty dull," said a first year B Com student.</div> </div>
